co-op

The traditional corporate business models are not the only option out there. Imagine a business where the owners are the people who actually use it.  The business brings them the products and services they want and need. Owners get a share of the profits based on how much they use the business. I think the cooperative business model can teach us something about having enough.  It can make the gap between rich and poor a little bit smaller.

I believe you can run a big business that is connected to the community it serves and acts in ways that are a response to real people.  Service is the bottom line, not profit.  I am committed to the business model, it is something I really believe in and I want to educate and evangelize about alternatives to profit driven shareholder corporations and get people to start more co-ops.
